Evaluation Context:

Over January and February of 2024, nine Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies currently operating the HSLP model conducted an evaluation of their programming. Organizations surveyed mentees, mentors, school partners, and BBBS staff from across the country on the many ways that this program is having an impact.

• Participant responses were administered via digital and paper surveys

• Majority of questions were on a four-point Likert scale: strongly disagree (1), sort of disagree (2), sort of agree (3), and strongly agree (4)

• Open-ended questions provided program staff valuable feedback and opportunities to refine programming for the future

• 191 mentees (~64% response rate) and 152 mentors (~51% response rate) completed the survey
  
  

We are very pleased to report that our participants overwhelmingly value this program and are developing significant skills that support their academic and social-emotional growth.
